Located in Pulborough, Shepherds Delight is a beautiful custom-made Shepherds hut for two people. Ideally suited for cyclists, walkers and hikers with an abundance of walks and trails nearby. It is comfortable and cozy and right on the edge of the South Downs. After a days adventure you can relax in the hot tub which is set into a lovely decking area.
We welcome dogs and guests have the use of the front garden and their own private entrance.
Also perfect for those summer evenings is the use of the Chimnea and a small BBQ
This shepherds hut has been hand-crafted and cleverly designed by Rory Low. With an electric bed, which, when raised up, provides seating and a table below and when lowered a full sized double bed. High quality White Company bedding and Relaxsan mattress, memory foam topper and pillows all make for a super comfy nights sleep
The Shepherds Hut is fully equipped for your self catering needs with a 2 ring induction hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots & pans, kitchen utensils and cutlery.
There is a good size shower - shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided - a WC and small sink. There is a small wardrobe to with a full length mirror, hairdryer, Iron and Ironing board, and hooks for your coats. Under the dining area seats there is further storage. It is lovely and cosy with a sheep skin rug and faux fur throw and cushions. To stay connected there is dedicated WIFI, an Apple HomePod mini, LG Smart TV with Netflix, Apple TV and Bluetooth speakers in the hot tub. There is a lovely view from the large glass patio doors for watching all the birds that visit the garden and distance views of the South Downs in the back ground.
The Shepherds Hut is located on Codmore Hill, Pulborough (the A29 which historically connects from Chichester to London), has been said as one of the most attractive villages in West Sussex. Nestled on the edge of the South Downs the views are stunning with rolling hills and woodland, so you are spoilt for choice on all the different walks nearby.
There is parking on the driveway and an electric charge point for you to use. It is important to note that this is on a main road so you will hear traffic noise. If you don’t want to use your car there is a bus stop outside the property that takes you to Worthing, Billingshurst and the lovely town of Horsham. Pulborough has a train station and has direct trains to London and by car from here to Gatwick Airport is approximately 45 minutes. The drive to Brighton and Hove city is approximately 40 minutes and the drive to City of Chichester is around 30 minutes.
The Rising Sun is far and away our fave pub.
It is a 16th Century free house owned and run by Regan Howard. Set in the village of Nutbourne (off the A283 east of Pulborough) the Rising Sun offers excellent beer and fantastic food. Great garden and super chilled.
The beer and food are largely locally sourced.
The Black Horse, in the centre of the picturesque village of Amberley in West Sussex, nestling in the stunning South Down’s National Park is a beautiful Grade II listed Inn .
Great food and drink - and great design!
The White Hart is situated by the River Arun next to the Stopham Bridge Pulborough, The White Hart is one of the most picturesque gastro pubs in West Sussex.
RSPB Pulborough Brooks which is within the South Downs and open all year. Here you will see a range of wildlife, woodlands, heathland and is good for all age groups.
Parham House & Gardens. A beautiful house in Pulborough which is set in an ancient deer park. The four-acre walled gardens are stunning.
Nutbourne Vineyards is open from May to October. Part of the new renaissance in English Wine, Nutbourne is a family run boutique wine producer making award winning still and sparkling wines in the heart of West Sussex. All wines are made from grapes grown on the estate and every part of the winemaking process takes place on site in the state of the art winery.
There are some beautiful villages in the surrounding area of Pulborough such as Coldwaltham, Petworth, Storrington, Fittleworth and Amberley. All are worth a visit.

Only a mile down the road towards Pulborough. Join the team for a paddle on the River Arun with stunning views of the South Downs. See a wide range of flora and fauna, as you meander through areas of protected wetland, and natural beauty.
Literally down the road - about 800m - is Dusk & Duchy. A Pulborough based start-up, specialising in boutique events including drive-In cinema, comedy nights, live music concerts. and micro festivals. There is usually something on every week.
